SmartAgriHubs and AgROBOfood webinar – funding opportunities (UK/Ireland)

SmartAgriHubs and agROBOfood join forces for a webinar, which will promote the open calls of both projects! Join us on 24th of November to learn about these exciting funding opportunities, as well as hear about how an SME managed to ensure funding for their idea, as well as about the do's and dont's when preparing to submit your idea! The webinar will focus on the Regions of UK and Ireland, but anyone can join!

AgROBOfood Call for Industrial Challenges
agROBOfood is offering 2.7 M€ to SMEs through its’ Open Call for Industrial Challenges! The overall concept of the Industrial Challenges is that real industry problems seek real tech solutions. In this context, the agri-food and robotics consortium partners together with the Industrial Advisory Board have defined real industry challenges/problems stemming from their portfolio. Each challenge is composed of a technical component and a complementary component. The technical component demands the development or improvement of (existing) robotic technology-based solutions The complementary component requires a socio-economic analysis or assessments of complementary social, economic, environmental, or ethical aspects of the newly designed solution. There are 5 defined challenges in this open call related to crop spraying, fresh & processed food industry, livestock industry, harvesting robots and cleaning robots on livestock farms.
The deadline for application is 20 January, 2021.

SmartAgriHubs RESTART and EXPAND open calls addressing the agri-food economy
SmartAgriHubs will assign up to 5,000,000€ funding to the RESTART and EXPAND open calls, addressing Digital Innovation Hubs that are supporting diverse stakeholders in the agri-food economy and specifically SMEs as drivers for digital innovation. RESTART the Economy around Food Systems: a focused open call for hackathon type of activities that will RESTART the economy around the agri-food related sectors and affected food systems. EXPAND the network: The major amount of funding will be assigned to the implementation of programmes by Digital Innovation Hubs to support the realisation of Innovation Experiments. The RESTART & EXPAND open calls were published on July 08th 2020. It is possible to submit proposals until July 28th 2021. At several deadlines during that period, batches of proposals will be evaluated and can be started accordingly.
