TeamUp is a 7-month programme that matches leading technologists with entrepreneurial business professionals and supports them on their journey to co-create truly impactful agri-food ventures. TeamUp provides important tools and support to build your startup including expert guidance, world-class training, mentorship, networking and funding. These new teams will be nurtured to create strong co-founder relationships with aligned purpose and values. The global objective is to promote sustainable growth and jobs creation by supporting the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and a more circular economy in Latin America (LA). The specific objective is that SMEs in LA adopt less polluting and more resource efficient products, processes and services while more sustainable consumption patterns are adopted by countries. The idea is to turn climate and environmental challenges into opportunities. This Call for Proposals aims at supporting innovative partnership projects between Latin American and European institutions and organisations, which will pursue the global and specific objectives stated above. Specifically, the following priorities will be pursued for this first call for proposals: (1) Sustainable, deforestation-free agri-food systems and value chains, (2) Transition towards low carbon, resource efficient and circular business models. Financial contribution per project: from EUR 250.000 up to EUR 300.000. More information can be found here. Application Deadline: 27 June 2022.

BETTER FACTORY is a 4-year H2020-funded project aiming to help European manufacturers to become more competitive in the global market. Manufacturing Companies will discover new business models and digitise their factories to match the production of new or personalised products, thanks to the collaboration with Artists and Technology Suppliers during the lifetime of the Better Factory project and beyond. Better Factory will launch 2 Open Calls to select 8 Knowledge Transfer Experiments (KTEs) by teams composed of one manufacturing company, one artist, and one technology supplier per Open Call, making a total of 16 KTEs during the lifetime of the project. The goal of the KTEs is to lead a diversification of the Manufacturing companies’ product portfolio with an aim to enhance their business models with customized and individualized products and new services around the products. KTEs will address the following sectors: Plastic and Rubber, Furniture and Wood, Food and Agriculture, Construction, Metal and Machinery, Textile and Leather.
