Horizon 2020 project DEMETER has launched its second Open Call. It will provide funding to small consortia of 2-3 partners to set up new, high-value pilots in the agri-food sector. These pilots will apply DEMETER methodologies and technologies, addressing specific farmer needs. Up to €150,000 funding per consortium is available. The deadline for submissions is February 16th, 2022. More information can be found here.

This accelerator is on the constant lookout to support Nordic, circular economy start-ups! Circular economy will play a key role in reaching global sustainable goals and a more resource-efficient economy driven by renewable energy. Quite often, companies achieve more benefits through circular business models than linear models, if they capitalize on the higher efficiency. Application Deadline: 13 February 2022. Apply here.

The Famigro Award is granted annually to a young European entrepreneur who is making a special contribution to the rural economy and environment. It rewards business initiatives which contribute to the evolution of the rural countryside while respecting the environment and contributing to social responsibility. Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports innovative SMEs and project partners (large companies, universities, research organisations and other types of organisations) by funding international collaborative R&D and innovation projects. By participating, organisations from 37 countries can access public funding for international collaborative R&D projects in all fields. Eurostars programme is open to innovations from nearly all fields of science, technology and applications in almost any sector. Technological areas of Eurostars projects are: Biotech, Energy, Environment, ICT, and Industrial. Application Deadline: 24 March 2022. More information can be found here.

REACH is a European data incubation programme for Start-ups and SMEs that aims to facilitate the development of trusted and secure innovative products/services based on the data value chain and its go-to-market. 

The programme is looking for 30 promising candidates to take part in its second round of incubation. The programme will take selected candidates through 4 intense stages of technical and business growth over 11 months: Explore (idea validation), Experiment (product realization), Evolve (market launch and investment), and Expose (private funds raising). The programme has different ways of participating and a very complete list of data value chain challenges, that include a catalogue of datasets from different data providers. The participants could receive up to 120.000€ in Equity Free Funding (80.000 devoted to product realization), and will facilitate access to Digital and Business skills, a toolbox for building secure and trusted data value chains, and a Big Data Computing infrastructure. Application Deadline: 22 February 2022.
