The EIC Pathfinder Challenge calls are open!

With its five Pathfinder Challenges for the 2021 call, EIC invites you to bring together the best in science and engineering to crack some of the toughest nuts in key areas of future technologies.

It calls for high-risk/high-gain research and development, venturing into new interdisciplinary areas. Find the list of the challenges on the EIC website.

Prepare for Horizon Europe – Follow the Info days

Following the policy-related discussions during the European Research and Innovation Days 2021, the 10-day event of Horizon Europe Info Days (from June 28th until July 9th) will give prospective applicants and other stakeholders of EU research and innovation the opportunity to get information and ask questions about main funding instruments, processes of Horizon Europe and what is new. You can download the calendar of the event here. The Horizon Europe Info-Days will be open for participation without prior registration.

SMART4ALL - Focused Technology Transfer Experiments (FTTEs)

Focused Technology Transfer Experiments (FTTEs) are novel short-term (9 months) experiments allowing for cross-border synergies that transfer knowledge and technology between academia and industry. FTTEs aim to accelerate product orient projects and offer guidance towards successful commercialization. Within this type of experiments, one party transfers to the receiving partner a specific HW or SW technology in order to enable improved product or processes. In FTTEs, two different entities from two different countries are involved: one Academic and one Industrial partner or two Industrial partners. The Industrial partner acts as the leading partner. The FTTE proposal submission deadline is September 15th, 2021 at 17:00 CEST. Find out more about the call here.

JOINT CALL 2021 on “Food Systems”

The 14 partners of the Joint Call Board from the ERA-NETs SUSFOOD2 (SUStainable FOOD production and consumption) and FOSC (Food Systems and Climate) are pleased to announce the launch of the Joint Call for Proposals on Innovative solutions for resilient, climate-smart and sustainable food systems. The scope of the call is to fund projects that facilitate the transition from current linear food systems to resilient circular systems, including an optimal use of resources and less vulnerability to shocks under consideration of the interdependencies within the systems and its stakeholders.

Proposals should include research on one of the following topics:

  • Topic I: Innovations to improve food systems sustainability, with a focus on increasing resource efficiency and reducing waste
  • Topic II: Food Systems adaptation and resilience to system shocks

The Joint Call 2021 follows a one-stage procedure with a deadline for the submission of proposals on 16th of August 2021 - 3 p.m. (CEST). For more information about the Call, please check the websites of SUSFOOD or FOSC.
