FIRA Open Day 2021

The FIRA Open Day on April 15th was an opportunity for the entire sector to come together and to discover the main 2021-2022 novelties. agROBOfood took part in this full day event dedicated to Ag Robots with a pitch by the Coordinator Dr Kees Lokhorst.

Project’s aspirations, positioning, and achievements

The agROBOfood network doubled its memberships in one year!

As of April 2021, our network consists out of 138 officially registered members. This is a formal growth of 48% since we started a year ago to actively engage new members (93 members on May 1st, 2020). So far, we have registered 90 DIHs of which most of them also serve as a competence center (72). 

Additionally, we added 29 Business Members (SMEs). Another 46 membership applications are pending, which are currently being checked for eligibility or are awaiting formal confirmation by the applicants. This means that the agROBOfood network now has registered 184 members and membership applications, which is a growth of 98%! [graphic]

agROBOfood robot prototype

Technicon, together with the Danish Technological Institute (DTI), has developed a prototype of a robot solution under the auspices of agROBOfood. The solution will in the long run make the handling of cabbage more productive, reduce food waste and remove the hard tasks from the employees.
