The project goal is to develop and validate the application of organic, non selective and non synthetic chemistry in agriculture for key crop care applications. This will be accomplished by adapting an existing, ultra-high resolution spot spraying and plant recognition technology enabling the application of compounds in a very precise plant by plant
way.
The agronomic efficiency will be validated with smallscale field tests, and the technique will be implemented in two different robotic machines: on a tractor-towed version used
by farmers in medium-size test fields, and on autonomous robots in small-scale field pilot projects.
The project main impact will be to provide organic crop care techniques for industrial agriculture with reduced chemical residues in food, soil and water for the benefit of human health and environment.
